The story behind the development of the G FLOAT
Our story started in 2014 when Moshe Roimi lost two pairs of glasses during a normal day at the beach with his little kids. One wave knocked the goggles off his face and in a second he disappeared into the water. This happened twice on two different occasions. Aside from the significant financial loss (about $500), it's no fun to come home without the glasses you like and have become accustomed to. From that moment on, Moshe realized that this was a common problem and searched for a solution. All the existing solutions were inadequate - some large and cumbersome, others just didn't float the goggles and some even damaged them. In 2018, his vision crystallized into the current product, so that losing glasses is a thing of the past.
G-float is made in Israel by Foamotive Ltd, a world-renowned company specializing in foam parts for the automotive industry, manufactured using a unique technology. The company's customers include major automotive brands such as Bentley, Lamborghini, Volvo, Mercedes-Benz, airlines and shipping companies, defense industries and other industries from a wide range of areas. In addition to its headquarters in Israel, Foamotive has factories in Mexico and Romania, which enable rapid production and delivery to European countries and the US.
Our team currently has about ten employees. We are all proud to be part of a revolution that keeps smiles on people's faces during water sports activities, even with sunglasses or goggles.
As a company, we believe it is important to give people with disabilities a chance to work. That is why our packaging processes are run by an organization that is a home for people with mental and physical disabilities. This is a great privilege for us, to give people work and to see the joy on their faces when they are packing our products.
